A stalwart of the Sydney beer scene, 4 Pines were long considered one of Australia’s big boys. Now they definitely are.
They’re certainly big in the craft world. In terms of independent breweries, they were second only to Coopers in size until they were bought by AB InBev in September 2017.
But this hasn’t stopped them from retaining a local feel and it certainly hasn’t changed the beer they produce.
From their regular portfolio, which is available everywhere these days, to their Keller Door releases, they’re always pushing themselves to create fantastic beer and they always achieve it.
4 Pines Brewing Company started because a group of guys were fed up with only being able to get crap beer, so resolved to make good stuff themselves.
From Manly To Australia And Then The Stars
Now their core beers are distributed far and wide and are converting people to good beer. They also designed the first beer to be consumed in space, their stout.
From naught to the stars in a very short time – it’s testament to the hard work and great beer at 4 Pines.
Their brewpub is still going strong in Manly and is still one of the best places to get awesome beer in the whole of Sydney. The great view, delicious food and regular entertainment can be washed down with awesome beer, including the Keller Door releases which are still brewed there.
4 Pines pride themselves on the natural ingredients and processes behind their beers, which in itself encapsulates the craft beer movement. It’s all about quality.
“Our goal is to introduce people who have never experienced such flavours & aromas, to beer – & turn them into beer lovers who have a genuine appreciation for how good it can be!” – 4 Pines
Their beers stand out among their peers on a competitive level and have brought home critical acclaim and the odd award too.
More than that though, they stand out in pubs and bottleshops. 4 Pines bottles and tap handles are identifiable and they’re attracting more and more people to good Sydney beer all the time – which was their aim all along.
