Feel the medicine slip down your throat. It’s silky. Revel in the restorative powers of Doctor’s Orders Zephyr.
This stuff is medicinal in its strength but has a delectable, sweet maltiness beneath the hop flavours.
It showcases an unfiltered, raw wheat taste. Native Australian lemon myrtle and coriander give it beautiful and complex floral flavours.
Zephyr is a Belgian wit style with an Aussie twist.
Like so many beers from Doctor’s Orders it combines new and old world perfectly.
It has a light golden colour, a little hazy, and intriguing floral aromas that make your mouth water. It fizzes up and the sparkle from the carbonation draws you in and makes you want to quaff it down.
If you want to explore the beers the good doctor has to offer, this should be your entry point. It’s fairly boozy but it drinks well below its 7.5% ABV.
There’s some punchy and peppery flavours and the coriander comes through with a light touch. There’s a certain sweetness from the malt and the various flavours from the grain, the hops and the botanicals all swirl around in your mouth to make a complex and interesting experience.
Zephyr is a summer release so you might not find it all year round so you’ll certainly want to get hold of a few bottles when you get the chance.
It’s thoroughly refreshing and in 500ml bottles it would be nice served chilled in a cooler and savoured with friends, ideally on a warm day.
It’s the kind of beer that leaves you wanting another straight away which can only be a good thing.
