Cutty Cellars has a few sister shops across the city. The Crows Nest store is particularly attractive to beer lovers.
With a large amount of space dedicated to refrigerated craft beer, Cutty Cellars in Crows Nest is a go-to place for cold, fresh independent beer north of the bridge.
You wouldn’t guess from the outside though. There’s some pretty generic liquor store signage covering the facade (albeit with a few crafty brands on display), and a street sign that while communicating the name of the shop, would only really resonate with people specifically looking for it.

Local Indie Beer
Inside, however, the selection is impressive. So is the proportion of local indie beer. Expect to see fridges full of Northern stalwarts, Modus Operandi and Nomad, as well as Inner West favourites Batch Brewing, Wayward, Akasha and Sauce. There are even some of the smaller and newer producers such as Ekim and One Drop.
Alongside these local names you’ll find the best of interstate breweries. Think Hop Nation, BentSpoke, Black Hops and plenty of others.
Those who are searching for something a little more esoteric (or, whisper it, rare) are also catered for. There’s an enticing display case of slightly more intriguing bottles. The type that might be stored in a cellar and pulled out for sharing at special occasions.
Otherwise there’s plenty of international options particularly from the UK, Germany and Belgium, as well as the usual suspects from the States and Garage Project from New Zealand.

Well Respected
For regular customers the Crafty Club program provides an incentive for repeat custom. Membership provides discounts which are also applicable to Cutty Cellar’s namesake in Bankstown and Ashfield Mall Cellars.
Considering the selection, the membership discounts, and the location, it’s no surprise that Cutty Cellars Crows Nest has become such a well respected craft bottle shop.
