Endeavour Vintage Beer Co. have had an interesting journey, with their unique philosophy to making beer.

Endeavour started as a contract label but now has more of a presence in Sydney with their tap room venue in The Rocks. In the charming pub, which attracts many tourists passing through the area, you can see stainless steel tanks in which Endeavour brews a portion of its beers, mainly for consumption at the tap room.
Packaged product is brewed in outside contract facilities where they also produce enough to send kegs to pubs around Sydney, including some where you might be surprised to see a craftier option.
Vintage Ales
Endeavour was one of the first breweries in Sydney to emphasise agriculture in their beers. This came via their line of Growers Vintage ales. This features a pale ale and an amber ale among others, labelled with the vintage of the harvested ingredients that went into them. The principle is that each “vintage” is a beer made with ingredients harvested solely in that year.
It’s an ambitious move and one that plays into the beer nerd’s love of all things new, different and novel. But it also draws focus back to the producers who provide the ingredients for beer.
Getting Established
The people behind the brewing company share alcohol industry experience. In a crowded market, Endeavour have done well to grow, particularly through the evolution of craft beer in Sydney at a time when contract or gypsy brewing was treated with suspicion.
The Endeavour Vintage Beer Co. brand is now more established and has garnered respect for well-made, accessible beers. The venue at The Rocks, a partnership with the Applejack Hospitality group, has added a service arm to their offering, meaning they can strengthen their connection with customers.
