The Taphouse, Darlinghurst

The Taphouse, formerly The Local Taphouse, is an established good beer venue in Sydney.

The Taphouse was possibly once Sydney’s craft beer epicentre. There are plenty of other pubs and bars vying for that title now and good beer is far more common than it was when The Local Taphouse first started putting beer at the heart of its offering.

The previous owners are the people behind the famous St. Kilda pub of the same name, as well as GABS festival which first arrived in Sydney in 2015.

The pub has since changed ownership but good beer is still at its core. It’s the kind of place that retains an old school pub charm and welcomes a varied clientele.
